My boys love to cook and mess around in the kitchen. They have always really enjoyed incorporating recipes into our school studies. Keeping this in mind I found some recipes to use over the course of the year. Some of the recipes are history related while others are related to specific states. In the history schedule I entered in when different states entered the union as timeline entries. These dates made a great excuse to find some recipes!
Recipes are of course optional. I think they are lots of fun though and give kids an opportunity to develop important kitchen skills.
