Cooking
Crafts	Aurora Borealis art lesson / project *coming soon This art project goes with the info from the Tiktaliktak book notes. Click the pictures to enlarge. Sugar Cube Igloo Project You can also mix 1/2 and 1/2 of glue and shaving cream to make "snow" for the scenery. It will dry in a nice 3-D puffy texture. *Take a picture and put in your History Pocket or notebook Animals of the Arctic 3-D paper model with map of the Arctic circle to glue them onto!
Extras, Alternate Books and Notes	Listen to or download "The Caribou Song" (Warning, those of you who hate “country music” will want to skip this one! LOL!) You will need to scroll down the page to get to the song. Math: Polar Bear Math - Learning About Fractions From Klondike and Snow If you use this book you may want to download our fraction strips for a hands-on manipulative. Ice Boy "Arcade" Game Just for the fun of it - help the boy navigate the ice and collect the heaters in 70 moves. It's ummm....math, yeah that's it, math!
